Exposing yourself to bright blue lights, which naturally is sourced from sunlight, resets the circadian rhythm. And so what that means is your melatonin levels drop, then you naturally feel more alert, more awake. As a result, then that evening, because melatonin operates on a 24 hour cycle, when it is suppressed in the morning and when it is stopping produced in the morning, the earlier that is, then the earlier it's produced in the evening. He also recommends getting sunlight into your eyes first thing in the morning for five minutes.
