relaxation is something you can do for one minute yes and that's the beauty about it. I've had so many people say I've taken through taking people in pain through whether it's diaphragmatic breathing or guided imagery the response has been incredible anything from I was not aware of my pain for those five minutes doesn't mean to say their pain was not there but their awareness of their pain decreased a lot, she says. By handing by teaching people a way to cope we are offering them greater control over their lives according to Dr Michael O'Brien.
