The Importance of Sleep

Only 15% of us wake up feeling refreshed. We sleep an hour less than we did in 1942. Children sleep 85 minutes less than they did a century ago. Technology is designed to profoundly invade our attention and have a horrific effect on us. But what happens when you cut back on sleep, your body interprets it as an emergency. It's really important to understand why this is so important for attention. In children that will manifest largely as mania running around. The next day you're much more vulnerable to these technologies that are already designed to hack and invade our attention.
