How Do You Position Your Microphone for Live Streaming?

The leasiest way to go from an audio to video podcast is just to use a camera to record your podcast. Yet, talking heads are not that bad im as a matter of fact, i'm a u two premium subscriber because there's a lot of people who have long form talking head content, but they don't have an audio podcast that i can subscribe to. I also have a shotgun mike, that i can have a position completely outside of the picture along with some one else. However, the audio quality might not be as acceptable or exceptional. What do you suggest? Is microphone placement something that might distract your audience? Get it out of there, or not worry about it
