The Use of the Li De Justice in the French Parliament

During the reign of louis the fifteenth, the use of the li de justice picked up because it had to. The parliament were pushing back against royal edicts with increasing frequency. This is a good example of why so many french philosophes supported the idea of enlightened absolutism. All the royal ministry was trying to do was get the government on sound financial footing by spreading taxes more equitably across the three estates. What could be more rational and more beneficial?
