The Struggle Between Commodities

There are false dichotomies, these false divisions created in order to justify certain people's view of themselves as being superior. The spectacle offers abstract freedom from their lives under capitalist alienation and exploitation. So this abstract freedom stands in for concrete freedom, real freedom. And yeah, that'll put us into chapter four, the proletariat as subject and as a representation; we're going to get into that next time.
