When learning is chunked out over time, with the learner being asked to either remember, reparticipate or practice in what they have learned, the forgetting drops off significantly. Over the last year, we have been working at NLI to develop a sustainment toolkit which would support that extended learning over time. The key is to make sure what is learned over time is not only readily available, but also consistent in application.
