Do You Need to Stop Running During a Five K?

Half of the women's field ended up dropping out. The race organizers had a frozen sponges and ice and water available, like, almost, you know, almost entirely throughout the course. You don't need to hydrate during a five k to replace lost fluids and prevent dehydration. Alete runners are fueling and hydrating in those longer events,. Not not drinking and not fueling, especially in multi hour events like half in full marathons, is terrible advice.
