How to Deal With an Insecure Manager
A colleague of mine on LinkedIn mentioned this phrase when I was describing this behavior. It's important because they're meant to be a mentor, but instead they're tormenting you. A lot of this sort of tormenting behavior is often fueled by what's called social identity threat. You want to make sure that you're not there to unseat them or to overshadow them.
