How Many Questions Should I Ask an Executive?

Arman: You have about four questions you can ask an executive before it falls off the map. An easy way to adjust your questions and figure out real questions is, outside of having a reason, talk about impact. We all ask the tie line question, right? So when do you want to have this live? Right? They'll say, october first, whatever. But what we should be asking in addition to that is, hey, just out of curiosity, what's the impact if we don't launch on october first? And just wait for that answer!
