Age of Conan: A Review
The main problem of Age of Conan at the time of launch was that the tutorial area had been iterated on about 20 times. The other part of the, I think, initial flop was that they sort of had this tension between trying to offer a more rich... multiplayer setting where the different cultures really felt very different. This was the first and maybe only ever MMO with player collision. And it was interesting in a way because like that's a different multiplayer interaction than that's possible in most of the others,. But also deeply unpleasant. So it drove a lot of people away.
