A study done by Matt Kraft and some of his colleagues in the US a couple of years ago, where they basically looked at a lot of high school classes. They kind of found out that it was pretty significant that it added up to something like I think it was like 20 days of school year of lost learning time to interruptions and disruptions. So for example, when somebody comes to the door and says, oh, Mr. Barton Canari, like, you know, talk to the student or pass you this note or whatever it is only takes 30 seconds because you're a very efficient teacher.
