Shunker: It's not always the most expensive thing that generates gratitude. The origin is really one of morality, and that's why we look at emotions like gratitude and compassion as as virtues. Shunker: If you gave me ten dollars right now, i didn't pay you back, i'd be ahead. And so it is a sacrifice in the moment for future benefit....
