The Meaning and Function of Literacy Training in Multilateral Negotiations
The framework, the narrative, utilized by the two parties were so different. The GMD as the leader, as the party control central government, basically they create narrative talking about defining importance of literacy. And in comparison, the CCP at the time prior to 1949, basically they are revolutionaries. They are in a different position in the national politics compared to the GMD. So I think I treat my book as case study from this angle of adult literacy training to understand state society relations in early 20th century China.
