The key is to keep your attention in that visual flow. See if near and far are information that's in the visual experience or do they have to be added on afterward when attention bounces back into the mind. If it feels tense at any point like you're straining, like it's challenging in some way, just return your attention to that thought space,. Relax the mind, relax into consciousness. And remember you're regarding this exercise with that same sort of neutral experience. I'm struggling just noticing what's here and what's not here. That's all it goes."
