What Is a SaaS Subscription?

The term SaaS can get conflated with the payment model versus the delivery model. Some companies, customers don't want to buy a subscription or in the cloud. But yet there is kind of that difference in paying and paying for software as a service. It's still recurring revenue but it's almost like you have your own servers paid for.
