The Importance of Being Jewish
Jewish people are sort of the only white people in the US who have this like distinct cultural identity. And I found myself at different times trying to like reconnect with that cultural identity by even though I wasn't raised practicing Judaism. When I go into Jewish spaces, I feel like an outsider because I don't speak Hebrew and I'm not used to these traditions. But I still like know somewhere in my body and my brain that that's like part of my family and part of my identity.
