The first tip under confirmation bias is to avoid asking leading questions. Notice if the question could be answered with yes or no, and often starts with do you XYZ? If so, bing, you have a leading question. The second problem with only eliciting yes or no answers is that you might miss a lot of the richness. And it's how you pick pieces of information up on your analysis in your post-interview debrief.
