Christian was taught to always say no to compliments and not come across as too prideful. He spent years just feeling absolutely horrible about himself, horrible enough that i wanted to die. When it was pointed out to him that being that way when he was complimented was actually rude, he made an effort to thank people who said nice things to him. Christian now has a positive outlook on his life for the first time in months.
