I think the ideal is to be as lazy as you can possibly be for the maximum adaptation. But if there's a goal that you're working towards, there's a balance between knowing when you're beating up andKnowing when you're doing too much. I don't know if I'm feeling beaten up day to day, that'll be a bit of a red flag for me to monitor my training volume. If you're just training for the sake of training and you like feeling beaten up all the time, then all power to you. Dom's always comes back if I wrap my training volume back up in the gym.
