How to Track Your Time in Zone
If you don't want to use heart rate, there is another simple way that you could do that. You could simply measure your distance in zone rather than timing zone. It does require a bit of spreadsheet work, but not much. So really, you don't have to get overly complicated with this sort of system. Keep it simple, keep it consistent for you.
