How Do You See Speed and Explode?

Speed and explosion is something that i personally don't see included. For most people going to the gim and training, it's like their lifting weights, but there's no agility or change of direction. So when i look at speed training, i look at it in a very similar fashion. Like, what are the patterns of movement you see in speed? And for ain't anybody listening, speed doesn't have to be sport specific. No matter what sport you're doing, you're going to be performing some sort of lateral shuffle. That doesn't matter if you're playing with your kids, your grand kids, or whatever.
