Don't Prevent Your Kids From Making Mistakes

I really like that distinction between guiding them and protecting them. And a corollary of the idea of not shielding them from pain, which i thought was really inciteful,. The notion of don't prevent your children from making mistakes. Yes, that's another tough one, and in to day's world, it's especially tough. Back in the day, probably everybody forgot their home work sometimes... But now so many parents are so quick to make sure that their kids homer gets checked or they even hire a tutor for their kids.
