The 80-20 Model for Strength Training
80% of training should be kind of moderate. You shouldn't be putting an all-out effort and 20% should be fast intervals, sprints. The better you get, actually, the more it becomes like 90-10. There's real value in those efforts if you're doing maybe one to three times a year. But beyond that, you're setting yourself up for disaster.
