"A child who is able to discern, gee, my umbrella term is unexcited and I want to be part of the group. But what's underneath that is this recognition of disquiet," she says. "If they can breathe into that, and if they can connect with themselves and their values in that moment, they are going to be able to move forward in the world with a sense of groundedness."
