What's the Medium Specificity of Games?

There's something about choice that is always presented as like the defining quality of what a game is. The TV show just replicated the stuff that I was writing about, which is fascinating. Most games in this day and age ask you to think numerically or empirically about values. And they're asking you to make inferential jumps about how those things will interact with other things. That seems to be pretty specific about games.
