The Tie Between Regeneration and Baptism Is Much Stronger in the Fathers
I didn't really see a lot of debate among theologians over this question, but in terms of those who actually are experts within the patristic literature themselves. What i will say is that the tie between regeneration and baptism is, in the fathers, far stronger than something that i usually find among baptists. The grace of god in baptism is not fundamentally different for infants than it is for adults. But you have to understand also, a lutheran perspective on the resistability of grace.
