Is Your Brain Trying to Keep You Safe?

When my father was a pathological liar, it's because when he was much younger or whatever. He had gone through as a child taught him that that's what you need to do to stay safe. And understanding that not only gives you the why things are happening. It's never about the what it's always about the why. But it also gives you empathy doesn't mean it's okay, something you're treated that way but it means you understand that the person isn't doing it like snidely whiplash on purpose.
