The Influence of Childhood Trauma on Relationships
Our brains are just better connected, better wired when there's positivity happening in our lives. When it's connected, the executive function is able to override the fight or flight if we get triggered by something. We found a connection between having warmer relationships with your parents as a kid and having a warmer relationship with your spouse in your 80s. It's almost unheard of to find that kind of statistical connection over time.
