Having a Core Moral Compass in Buddhism
The Buddha said, connect with people who don't look down on you when you've done something that you're embarrassed about. In Buddhism, there's none of that. The Buddha talked about in the Rahuulah suta to his son. He just talks about acknowledging these feelings. So are these experiences that we now regret. It also demands to rebalance away from people pleasing having a core internal moral compass with the Buddha called Sila.
