The Mediterranean Diet

The common denominator of all regional mediterranean diets is the combination of vegetables and extra virgin olive oil. Olive tree was first cultivated, as i said, many thousands of years ago in what is now modern day syria, iran. The phoenicians spread the olive tree with their trading roots across the mediterraneanfrom modern day lebanon to north africa and nto spain and greece and italy. And its, of course, become a very much central to the diet.
