The Challenges of Hierarchy
The ANZ has like so many organisations had a very traditional hierarchy, cool command and control model. We've really broken that down. And the whole point of agile is to leave the decision making with the people who do the work. So instead of having to go up and up and up for key decisions to be made, which can take weeks if not months, the people actually doing the work in the moment get to make those decisions. It's more just I'm very much into first principle: If you don't build your house on the right foundation, you can't fix it when there's a problem with the planks.
