The end of roman britain saw the single greatest change in people's daily lives. Urban life survived through invasions, blits, strikes and brexet but it didn't surv the tumult of the late fourth century. The evidence suggests a profound change over the span of a few decades. It must have been a shocking change, even if they had expected it to happen. On the contrary, most significant changes had already occurred by then. But i'll say more on this in the next episode.
