Confucius's Wisdom of the Ancients
In some ways, it's kind of ironic to be including confucius in the series that we have on wisdom of the ancients. And yet he says of himself, he says, i transmit. I do not innovate. He wants to mate that claim that i don't, i don't innovate. I transmit the past. But one of the things he didn't talk too much about, interestingly, was happiness per se rit. In his time, when you think about sort of the confucian chinese like, what would be the concept of happiness? What would be the terms they used to talk about it? There're some passing references to happinesse or joy,
