The Best Kept Secret in Sleep Medicine

Most doctors go to for treating insomnia are ambient or other prescription sleep medications and sleep hygiene. The National Sleep Foundation recommends avoiding stimulants such as caffeine and nicotine close to bedtime, exercising but not too early in the night. While these recommendations are good for general maintenance, they simply do not address the root of the insomnia problem.
