Why Consumers Talk About Products and Services

The psychological motives here are to establish connection and to express oneself. Sometimes consumers talk about products and services simply to make conversation, maybe even just to fill the silence. You could say that when consumers generate word of mouth, they're also implicitly talking about themselves. And aside this idea happens to be the title of my dissertation, talking about products, talking about me. I certainly heard this from the people that i interviewed. You are what you know. What you talk about says a lot about you.
