Is Resveritrol a Longevity Gene?

The original hypothesis was that resveritrol acted through CERT2. It still remains unclear whether it can activate CERT2 ins, which are the whole family of CERT2-like proteins. They do definitely act in the same network with TORE and AMP kinase and FOCSO. There aren't great drugs to modulate CERT2 inactivity in mammals. And so far, the studies where people have tried to genetically modulate them haven't produced the longevity effect they hoped for.
