After the intimacy building exercises, participants with more avoidant attachment styles rated their relationship as higher quality than they had beforehand. Participants with more secure or anxious attachment styles didn't report an increase in relationship satisfaction. If you do think you have one of the three distorted attachment styles, it's best to see a therapist to talk to someone who has clinical experiences.
