The Naval Mutiny in Kiel Is the Trigger for the German Revolution
On october third, the kaiser appointed the liberal prince maximilian of baden to serve as the new chancellor of germany. On november fourth, 19 18, sailors and workers in keel established a soldiers and workers council deliberately modelled on the soviets of the russian revolution. Things now move very fast in a very revolutionary direction. Workers and soldiers were setting up councils. And all of this is obviously akin to the spread of the soviet throughout russia after the establishment of the first petrograd soviet at the end of february 19 17.
