The Different Mechanisms of Muscle Damage
Most people who look at damage after exercise think it's being caused by the tearing of muscle fibers due to mechanical tension. But actually, it's a calcium ion accumulation process and it's identical in any muscle damage situation. Once we take that into account, everything makes sense. We should never have ever proposed muscle damages mechanism for hypertrophy in the first place. It just literally makes no physiological sense.
