The Importance of Rationalization
Most people are not aware of the downstream effects of not negotiating for things. They don't think about the consequences of not having negotiated at salary one time forever. Rationalization is both one of the best tools that humanity has ever invented and one of our worst enemies. It can get us over the hump negotiating and we'll talk about how to do that in a second. That's why rationalization is why I had pizza last night at 9 p.m. for dinner instead of just going to bed hungry because you worked out.
