How to Start Slowly in a Program

The number one variable, you know, besides consistency in getting started in a program is to start slowly well within your wheelhouse of whatever you can do from a pace perspective. You shouldn't finish any of these initial runs, walks, workouts feeling so beat up or so spent that you couldn't go a little bit longer. So I always like to encourage runners to just start with what feels comfortable, like let your body govern what makes sense.
