Apocalypticism is a religious point of view that developed in ancient Judaism, starting about a couple hundred years before Jesus. The word comes from people probably guess comes from apocalypses in Greek. This became a movement within Judaism and it ends up affecting Jesus very seriously and Paul seriously and the entire New Testament seriously.
