The Importance of Internal Pushback
There's a very clear message of what you should believe, what's right, what's wrong. And so anytime a child in that environment steps outside of the lines, there's a reaction by that system. The exile is burdened with this very painful emotion. There could be grief as well. Panic is abandonment. Our safety comes from being an insider. So it strikes real panic in our systems if we are risk being cast out and ostracized. If sort of untreated, I'm using air quotes for that, but we'll just say, whenever that woman utilizes those skills, what she has been trained to feel is this internal pushback.
