How to Deal With Dissociation in Therapy

Dissociation is definitely a coping skill. It allows us then to go out into our life and day and do what we need to do without feeling super reactive, hypervigilant or whatever. We have to know what's triggering at first before we can even understand it... Does that make sense? I hope so. Now, there were add-ons to this, OK? First one says, can dissociation become a coping mechanism when you're relatively older?
