The best way to move forward into excel is to start from a place of fully accepting where you are. If you don't accurately appraise your situation, whatever steps you take to improve aren't going to be the best because you're not working on reality. Most people perform better from an openness rather than tightness and constriction. In acceptance and commitment therapy, ask you to do two things. The first except where you are, be clear headed about it. The second is to know your corps values, the things that define you, that make you who you are, and really commit to practising them day an in, day out.
