The Power of Defensiveness
A lot of my inner work over the last five years has been centered around kind of a secular Buddhism. The goal has been to learn that look the world is just happening. And yes, parts of it are feel enjoyable and parts of it feel unenjoyable. It's very natural for the human being to want to cling to things that feel good and to push away things that feel bad so grasping and distancing. But Buddhism is there to teach us just to sit with it just be present as the world is unfolding in front of you. When you're present and holding space for all of that you tend to show up as a better, healthier version of yourself.
