McEnroe, He Had Demons. He Saw Them Everywhere on the Court That Partly Drove His Behavior
John McEnroe grew up in Serbia during war and conflict. He had a horrible childhood, as if that was the factor that made him world's greatest tennis player. I don't know enough of exactly what happened during that week other than his dad being asked not to be at the Open because of his connections to Russia. But people use adversity and sports as a way to build energy and to drive themselves. So McEnroe, he had demons. He saw everywhere on the court that partly drove his behavior. It's interesting guys written a biography recently and talked more about his life.
