Is There a Difference Between LDL and APOB?
The best predictor and the best way of kind of avoiding misinterpretation if you're just looking at LDL, is to go directly to the number of particles and measure APOB. So in a certain individual, have a greater cholesterol content per lipoprotein for that situation, that would lend itself to the... Okay. It seems on a distribution, people at the opposite end might be look a bit higher relative to, they actually have maybe a lower APOB count or a lower LDL particle count. Is that because they have kind of more large, fluffy LDL particles that are carrying more cholesterol, but there's less of them? That could be how you'd end up in that position.
