Tuck and Yang's Moves to Innocence

Indian settlers are aware of, or at least can be made aware of, the conditions of settler colonialism. Tuck and yang explain that directly and indirectly benefiting from the erasure and assimilation of indigenous peoples is a difficult reality for settlers to accept. The misery of guilt makes one hurry toward any reprieve. And so settlers, in response to this discomfort, are prone towards moves to reassert their innocence in the face of subtler colonialism.
